Carrying out the construction of wind cement bricks
To understand more about building a house with wind cotton bricks, and understand the standard construction process of breeze bricks necessary to ensure the safety of your home, we proceed with the construction steps of wind cement bricks and Always ensure the correct construction technique to complete the project steadily.
Step 1: Prepare the surface for the construction of ventilation bricks
Clean the substrate surface and smooth it with mortar or cement. Build bricks on surfaces that are too smooth or fragile, such as glossy ceramic tiles, mosaic, glass, and so on.
Step 2: Prepare mortar before installing ventilation bricks
Use standard mortar (any type of cement + clean sand 1.0-1.2 + clean water). Conduct a sand and water test prior to construction to avoid the problem of sand and saline water.
Alternatively, use mortar combined with mortar glue in the proportions specified on the mortar packaging.
The mortar has a medium elasticity and is not excessively wet.
Mortar construction in accordance with design specifications.
Step 3: Preparing for the construction of wind cement bricks
Determine the width and height of the ventilation brick wall area. Then divide the distance between bricks evenly; if the gap is greater than 20mm, it is advisable to build the bricks closer together (about 5-10mm). There is extra space to put on both sides of the wall, which will be grouted. To divide the distance, ventilation bricks can be placed in the plot to be erected without mortar.
Determine the squareness of the wall’s corner point with the ground using a spotlight.
Step 4: Proceed to build a house with ventilation bricks
Begin building at the previously defined corner locations.
Spread the mortar evenly on the wall base, about 1cm thick. Spread the mortar with a trowel and make a “ribbed” layer in the middle of the mortar block to place the bricks on. Then, to avoid waste, spread evenly to the tile’s edges and form a nail foundation that clings to the Ventilation Tile.
Construct the corner first, then the rest of the wall.
Repeat the same for the other corners of the other walls. Place many bricks for each construction direction. Tie the string to the two bricks at the first row’s two corners and stretch it to create a landmark for the rest of the bricks.
Continue spreading mortar to construct the next rows. Scrape the grout joints and place the ventilation bricks in their proper place.
The thickness of the mortar is approximately 5-10mm. The mortar circuit can be readily adjusted, but not too so. For wall panels over 2.5m high and 3m wide, the maximum thickness is 20mm.
How to clean the wall after installing wind cotton tiles
Wind cement tiles can be cleaned with water and should be cleaned with a low-pressure hose. Strong water should not be sprayed since it will degrade the quality of the paint.
If you can blow dust with a vacuum cleaner, your ventilation brickwork is clean enough.
